Or, register for High School Academic Enrichment, Remediation
This summer, kids can come to SJND to learn and play chess in a new offering we have developed in partnership with the well-known Berkeley Chess School. Other new classes include:
Just Desserts, a desserts-only cooking class where kids will learn the secrets of making the best sweets.
Art Works, which includes exploring some of the modern art masters--Picasso, Andy Warhol-- and painting or working in their different styles, incorporating photography, too.
Or maybe your child is interested in Historical Games? History never seemed so appealing as when participants are divided into groups, given maps and taught that history rests in their hands. Students will participate in competitive games that help history come alive. Come take the challenge, experience history and possibly conquer a new world!
Summer Discovery will also offer a full complement of athletic opportunities, too, for young students.
There will be cooking, Shakespeare and science camps, as well as volleyball, basketball and conditioning programs. Also, popular activities that will be returning this year: Debate and the chance for kids to Stage a Dinner Party!
There are also academic enrichment opportunities, including programs that offer success strategies for students entering middle school or high school next fall. Summer Discovery at SJND. There’s something for everyone!
