Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School is committed to ensuring the socioeconomic diversity of our community by providing tuition assistance to approximately 30 percent of our families. Tuition-assistance grants are based solely on a family’s financial need. The determination of the tuition assistance grant is made after a student has been accepted for enrollment or re-enrollment at SJND by a service organization not affiliated with SJND. The decision to admit a student is not based upon the ability to pay tuition. In order to be considered for a grant of tuition assistance, each applicant family must submit a Private School Aid Service (PSAS) application and an SJND Tuition Assistance Application. They must be submitted to the Business Office by Feb. 6, 2008 for freshmen and Feb. 13 for returning students.
Freshman applicants to Saint Joseph Notre Dame may also be considered for one of several Presidential Scholarships offered each year. These scholarships award $10,000 over the course of four years ($2,500 per annual award) to students who demonstrate strong character and extraordinary academic promise through their schoolwork and HSPT scores. Students may nominate themselves or be nominated by a teacher, counselor, or principal. Renewal of the Presidential Scholarship awards is reviewed annually. Presidential Scholarship Application
Students enrolled during their sophomore through senior years are also eligible to receive scholarship awards from the school’s Endowment Fund. These scholarships recognize students’ achievements in overall academic achievement, the sciences, and athletics. Students who receive these awards are nominated by their teachers and selected by various scholarship committees.
