2. Visit the SJND Campus
We encourage you to schedule a visit to campus. Prospective students and their families can come to campus during our popular Shadow Day visit program, which begins in October , and for our Open House.
Shadow Day visitors have a great opportunity to experience a day in the life of an SJND student. Shadow Day visitors are paired with a host student to experience two classes and a lunch. Parents are encouraged to stay for a discussion about SJND and a tour. Setting up a Shadow Day visit is easy.
The SJND Open House on Sunday, October 23, 2011, is a great way to sample the spirit and community of SJND. We invite all middle school students to come to Open House.
3. Consider Taking the HSPT Prep Course at SJND
To help familiarize 7th and 8th grade students with the format and the focus of the High School Placement Test, SJND offers an HSPT prep course.
The first session of the HSPT prep course at SJND is Oct. 1, 2011, and there is a follow-up session on Dec. 1, 2011.
Cost for the HSPT prep course is $150. Students who are accepted and register for the 2012-13 school year at SJND will receive a $100 registration fee reduction. More information on the HSPT prep course at SJND.
Applications are accepted beginning in September, and all applications are made electronically. A $75 application fee can be submitted online using a credit card during the application process.

These scholarships award $10,000 over the course of four years ($2,500 per annual award) to students who demonstrate strong character and extraordinary academic promise through their grades and HSPT scores.
By applying to SJND, you are automatically signed up to take the HSPT. There is no added fee.
Students can take the test at any Diocesan high school and have the option of sending their results to up to three different schools. We invite you to take the HSPT at SJND on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at 8:15 a.m.
