More than 60 percent of students participate on a sports team at Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School, where a key component of the athletics program is to develop skills that will contribute to success in a variety of endeavors in college and life.

At least 10 teams each year earn post-season playoff appearances in the competitive Tri-County Athletic League, including cross country, volleyball, track, softball and baseball. The men's and women's basketball teams are part of a storied program, with the men winning a record four state titles, most recently in 2014. Each year, SJND athletes sign to play sports in college, going on to compete at the collegiate level, including the PAC 12, the Big West and the West Coast Conference.
