America’s Milk Processors/USA Today’s 12th Annual Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year (SAMMY) Award Program

The eQuality Scholarship Collaborative
Honors and encourages northern and central California students for their service to the lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender community by providing scholarships for post-secondary education at approved institutions. The Princeton Prize in Race Relations

Matters of Life and Death Essay Writing Contest 2008-2009. The KFC Colonel's Scholars Program
The KFC Colonel's Scholars Program ® is looking for high school seniors with entrepreneurial drive, strong perseverance, demonstrated financial need, and who want to pursue a college education at an accredited public institution in the state they reside. The KFC Colonel’s Scholars Program is about you, your dreams and aspirations, and the perseverance to succeed. California Association of Collectors Inc.
The scholarship is awarded to high school graduates pursuing their education at any accredited public or private college, university or trade school in California. $2,500 First Award, $2,000 Second Award, $1,500 Third Award. In 2008 CAC received over 300 entries. Out of those entries, three finalists were selected by a panel of judges who made the decision based on the essays submitted on "The Importance of Establishing and Maintaining Good Credit During Your College Years." 2009 Scholarship Deadline is Feb. 2, 2009. Essay Contests for High School Students on Ayn Rand’s books
Deadline: Sept 17, 2009 FIRST PRIZE: $10,000, 3 SECOND PRIZES: $2,000, 5 THIRD PRIZES: $1,000, 20 FINALISTS: $100, 20 SEMIFINALISTS: $50 Essays will be judged on both style and content. Judges will look for writing that is clear, articulate and logically organized. Winning essays must demonstrate an outstanding grasp of the philosophic meaning of Atlas Shrugged. Essay submissions are evaluated in a fair and unbiased four-round judging process. Judges are individually selected by the Ayn Rand Institute based on a demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Ayn Rand’s works. To ensure the anonymity of our participants, essay cover sheets are removed after the first round. The Council for America's First Freedom announces the 16th annual First Freedom Student Competition. This national essay contest offers 9th- to 12th-grade students an opportunity to compete for a $3,000, $1,500 and $750 award, as they examine the First Amendment and the history and relevance of religious freedom in America and the world today.
This year's topic introduces students to George Washington's famous statement about "mere" toleration in his 1790 letter to the Jewish congregation of Newport, Rhode Island. Students will identify the basic principles of religious liberty espoused in this primary document and will further research and assess how well the United States has lived up to Washington's ideal. In addition to the monetary award, the first-place winner and his or her teacher (or other adult chaperone) will receive an all-expense-paid trip to Newport, Rhode Island in mid-August 2009 for the annual VIP reading of President Washington's historic letter.

YouthVoice Video Contest
YouthVoice is a video contest for teams with two or more individuals. The contest begins Aug. 4, 2008. There will be 12 different themes throughout the duration of the contest. Teams can submit their videos on this group page, and they will be voted on by members of MyCatholicVoice.com. The team with the highest average ranked video each week will be awarded a $500 prize. At the end of the contest, two $1,000 grand prizes will be awarded to the highest average ranked videos. One will be awarded to a team from a Catholic youth group, and the second will be awarded regardless of religious affiliation.

California State University, Fresno- Scholarship
Each year, California State University Fresno awards more than a thousand scholarships totaling more than $2 million to incoming and continuing students. The CSU Fresno Scholarship website provides a one-stop opportunity to apply for hundreds of institutional scholarships by submitting just one application. CSU Fresno's 2009-10 scholarship application period for institutional scholarships is Oct. 1 through Feb. 28, 2009.
