2008 Winter Sports News

Tryouts for the winter sports of basketball and soccer will begin Nov. 10. Students interested in trying out are required to have a current physical examination dated after July 1, 2008 on file in the schools main office. In addition, they must have filled out the 2008-2009 Sports Information Packet. Sports packets may be picked up in the main office or outside of Mr. Curry's office in the Gym. DEADLINE FOR COMPLETED SPORTS PACKETS TO BE RETURNED TO MR. CURRY IS NOV. 3, 2008. Students without a current physical examination or sports packet on file WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO TRYOUT!

Notes from the Athletic Director

Sports packets: Students intending to participate in interscholastic sports for Saint Joseph Notre Dame during the 2008-2009 school year are required to fill out a sports packet and return it to the Athletic Director prior to trying out for a sport. Students will not be allowed to participate without having a sports packet on file. Sports packets will be available in the athletic office or may be downloaded from the SJND website at www.sjnd.org.

Transfer student eligibility: Any student transferring to SJND for the 2008-2009 school year from another high school who is interested in participating in interscholastic sports must meet with Dan Curry, Director of Athletics, prior to the beginning of school to discuss transfer eligibility. All transfer students are required to fill out the North Coast Section Athletic Transfer Eligibility Application--forms 207 and 510.
