The new SJND library, which opened in fall 2004, is the heart of the SJND academic environment. With the ready availability of a full-time librarian, numerous networked computer stations that put students in touch with online resources, and print volumes that support school curriculum, students can do research, study, and read leisure materials in an environment supportive of each person’s needs. The goal is to provide the assistance that students need to become independent library users so they will feel comfortable and competent in any college or university library.
