Located at 1011 Chestnut Street in the beautiful, tree-lined neighborhood of Alameda, the Main Office is the first point of welcome to the SJND campus. Located on the same site where the school was founded in 1881, it houses the attendance and administrative offices and is the gateway to the historic Notre Dame Campus, the former girls school for Notre Dame Academy.
The breathtaking St. Joseph Basilica was established back in 1855, near the founding of the city of Alameda itself. The SJND community gathers often to celebrate Mass and have time for spiritual reflection, led by our Campus Minister and team of students serving on the Campus Ministry Executive Board. Students pass through the beautiful and serence parish courtyard each day in between classes.

Kelly Gymnasium underwent a renovation in 2007 and now is a modern space used for physical education, athletics and multipurpose uses such as graduation, assemblies and social gatherings. The gym features a practice and game court for sports and lunchtime intramurals, a men's and women's locker room, a weight room and training room. With a strong tradition of athletic success, Kelly Gym has been the epicenter of Pilot Pride for many decades.

In the summer of 2013, the school finished the seismic retrofitting of Marianist Hall, the former boys school for St. Joseph High School, noted for its soaring bell tower. The building showcases historic photos from the boys school and houses the Engineering, Social Studies, Theology and Visual and Performing Arts programs. The classrooms are modern wireless learning environments that benefit the way students learn and interact at SJND.

The beautiful SJND Quad is the central gathering space on campus. It houses the 9th and 10 grade lockers and is the ideal place for students to spend time together before and after school. The Quad comes alive at lunchtime when students are able to enjoy the sunshine and relax outdoors.
San Jose Hall, the former convent, houses the Admission, Business and Advancement Offices. It is most frequented by students heading into the Band Room on the first floor, or upstairs to the Counseling Department to meet with SJND's personal and academic counselors, college counselor or learning services counselor.
