College Counseling

Overview

At SJND, we support your college success with focused, one-on-one attention. Our team of professional counselors work together to provide exceptional academic and college counseling, personal counseling and learning support services--all of which contribute to your college success. Our low counselor-to-student ratio allows our counselors to cultivate beneficial relationships with you, your teachers and your family. Here are some important resources for you and your family:

SJND's college counselor, Allison Yee, supports you in your college search, working with the counseling staff to identify your college goals starting in your first year. We have created a scaffolded, year-by-year program to hone specific areas of college preparation. You are encouraged to take advantage of college essay writing workshops, visits with college admissions representatives and regular updates on college news and deadlines available through Naviance.

Family Connection from Naviance

SJND uses an online program called Family Connection from Naviance to help you manage your college search. Family Connection allows you to track and analyze data about college and career plans. Sign up for college visits, keep track of application deadlines, build a resume, research colleges, manage applications and access the Common Application, College Board and SAT/ACT online by using Naviance.

Families who have not registered for the site may contact the Counseling Department to obtain your registration information.

Information for College Representatives
