This year-long (10 unit) course is available to qualified students. Students who earn a C- or higher in this course will earn an extra grade point toward their grade point average. Students who take this course must sit for the Advanced Placement examination in May. In order to be eligible to take this course, students must attend the mandatory AP Information Night AND have earned minimum grades in the previous year’s Introduction to Computer Science and Programming course (B- or higher in the semester) OR receive instructor approval (which includes a separate interview). Students must have also passed Algebra 2 or be concurrently enrolled.

This year-long (10 unit) course satisfies the junior English requirement for qualified students. In order to be eligible to take this course, students must meet the criteria for AP/Honors course enrollment stated above. Students must have earned a 90% or higher in both semesters of English 10: Cultural Perspectives and Identity or an 85% or higher in both semesters of Honors English 10: Cultural Perspectives and Identity.

This year-long (10 unit) course satisfies the senior English requirement for qualified students. In order to be eligible to take this course, students must meet the criteria for AP/Honors course enrollment stated above. Students must have earned a 90% or higher in both semesters of English 11: The American Dream or an 85% or higher in both semesters of AP English Language and Composition.

This year-long (10 unit) course is available to qualified students. In order to be eligible to take this course, students must meet the criteria for AP/Honors course enrollment stated above. Students must have earned an B- or higher in both semesters of any level of Biology AND Chemistry.

This year-long (10 unit) course is available to qualified students. In order to be eligible to take this course, students must receive teacher approval (which includes a separate examination), AND have earned minimum grades in the previous year’s French course (90% or higher in each semester of French 3 or 80% or higher in each semester of Honors French 3).

This year-long (10 unit) course is available to qualified students. Students who earn a C- or higher in this course will earn an extra grade point toward their grade point average. Students who take this course must complete all through-course performance tasks and one end-of-course AP exam in May. In order to be eligible to take this course, students must receive department approval, attend the mandatory AP Information Night, have earned a B- or higher in AP Seminar, AND have earned a score of 3 or better on the AP Seminar Exam.

This year-long (10 unit) course is available to qualified students. Students who earn a C- or higher in this course will earn an extra grade point toward their grade point average for the second semester. Students who take this course must complete all through-course performance tasks and one end-of-course AP exam in May. In order to be eligible to take this course, students must complete an interview with the instructor, submit a writing sample, AND attend the mandatory AP Information Night.

This year-long (10 unit) course is available to qualified students.  In order to be eligible to take this course, students must meet the criteria for AP/Honors course enrollment stated above. Students must have earned a 90% or higher in both semesters of Spanish 3 or Spanish 4, or 80% or higher in both semesters of Honors Spanish 3.

This year-long (10 unit) course is available to qualified students. In order to be eligible to take this course, students must meet the criteria for AP/Honors course enrollment stated above. Students must have earned a 90% or higher in both semesters of Honors Algebra 2/Trigonometry or 80% or higher in any level of Pre-Calculus.

This year-long (10 unit) course is available to qualified students. Students who earn a C- or higher in this course will earn an extra grade point toward their grade point average. Students who take this course must submit a portfolio that meets the Advanced Placement requirements to the College Board in May. In order to be eligible to take this course, students must sign up on Schoology after attending the AP/Honors Information Session during collaboration, schedule a portfolio review meeting with the VAPA Chair, AND attend the mandatory AP Information Night in February. Students must have earned a minimum unweighted grade of B+ in the previous two year’s Visual Arts courses AND receive Instructor approval.

This year-long (10 unit) course satisfies the senior graduation requirement for Social Studies. In order to be eligible to take this course, students must meet the criteria for AP/Honors course enrollment stated above. Students must have earned an A- or higher in both semesters of United States History or A- or higher in one semester and B+ or higher in the other semester of AP United States History.

This year-long (10 unit) course is available to qualified students and satisfies the junior Social Studies requirement. In order to be eligible to take this course, students must meet the criteria for AP/Honors course enrollment stated above. Students must have earned an A- or higher in both semesters of World History or A- or higher in one semester and B+ or higher in the other semester of AP World History.

This year-long (10 unit) course is available to qualified students and satisfies the sophomore Social Studies requirement. In order to be eligible to take this course, students must meet the criteria for AP/Honors course enrollment stated above. Students must have earned an A- or higher in both semesters of Eng 9: Coming of Age Studies OR A- or higher in one semester and B+ or higher in the other semester of Honors Eng 9: Coming of Age Studies.

This semester-long (5 unit) or year-long (10 unit) course is available to juniors and seniors of considerable academic ability. Participation in this program requires nomination by a teacher-leader and approval by the Assistant Principal of Academics.

This introductory high school science course will cover elements of biology, chemistry, physics, earth and environmental science, medical science, engineering, and computer science so that students may find the spark that ignites their passion for science.  The integrated nature of this course and emphasis on science skills will allow students to have a firm foundation from which to build upon in later science courses.

This year-long (10 unit) course is available to all students who have earned a 70% or higher in both semesters of Integrated Science 1.

This year-long (10 unit) course is available to qualified students. In order to take this course, students must have earned an 80% or higher in both semesters of Algebra 2, a 70% or higher in both semesters of Honors Algebra 2/Trigonometry.

This semester-long (5 unit) course is available to students concurrently enrolled in Integrated Science I who received a 90% or higher in the first semester of the course or with the recommendation of their science teacher.  Students who qualify may choose to take this course in lieu of the required Health Education course.
