Student Experience

Students cheering at spirit rally.

At SJND student activities build community and school pride among students, families, faculty, and staff. Social activities including dances, division mixers, assemblies, masses, spirit rallies, retreats, and community service projects are put on by student leaders to provide a welcoming community.

Additional lunchtime and collaboration activities occur to celebrate holidays, school appreciation, special occasions, and social awareness. School Spirit and division competition is highlighted through dress-up days, school rallies, Diversity week, Proud to be a Pilot Week, Spirit Week, and other activities that bring our school community in celebrations that allows our students to be their true selves.

We have approximately 50 student clubs and organizations that offer a wide variety of activities.

From music to aerospace to economics to STEM or ethnic clubs and organizations, there’s something to pique students’ interests. If we don’t have a club that meets your interests, you’re free to start a new one. Basically, no matter what you're interested in, you'll find something you enjoy at SJND!

SJND embraces a diverse and inclusive community of students, faculty, and staff to foster a more holistic learning environment that extends well beyond the classroom. We consider the life experiences of our community an important element of our college preparatory education, one that is vitally important in today’s world landscape.

Club and organization events as well as extracurricular activities such as athletics, the arts, service retreats, student government, and other special opportunities give students ample opportunity to pursue their passions or develop new ones.

Student government and affinity groups host a variety of assemblies, dress-up days, fundraisers, games, movie screenings, and school rallies to honor cultural observances and traditions, show school spirit, and promote social awareness.
