Register for the High School Placement Test

All students must register for the High School Placement Test.  The HSPT results determine which classes students will be placed in for high school, and may place them in consideration for scholarships. 
You may take the test at any Diocesan high school where you have filed an application and have the option of sending your results to up to three different schools.

Submit Your Application Online

Final Application Deadline: Tuesday, January 7, 2021

Applications are submitted electronically. A $75 (early application by December 4) or $115 (application by January 7) application fee can be submitted online using a credit card during the application process.

Freshman applicants to Saint Joseph Notre Dame may also be considered for one of several Academic Merit scholarships offered each year. These scholarships award up to $12,000 over the course of four years to students who demonstrate strong character and extraordinary academic promise through their grades and HSPT scores. Students who qualify for these scholarships will be invited to apply in February. Click here to learn more.

Take the High School Placement Test

Incoming freshman students who want to attend Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School must take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). To take the HSPT, you are required to have applied to SJND and registered online. The HSPT is from 8:15 am to12:30 pm. You do not need to bring anything with you. SJND will provide all necessary materials for testing, and lunch is included!

Family Admissions Interviews

January 19-23, 2021

Admissions interviews are held in January for the upcoming academic year and are a required part of the admissions process for incoming freshman students. The interview gives SJND faculty and administrators a chance to learn more about you and your parents and allows all of you to ask us questions as well. The interviews last approximately 15 to 20 minutes. The Admissions Office contacts families with a date for the interview. Transfer students may also be asked to come in for a family interview.

Submit Recommendation and Transcript Forms

All prospective students are required to submit completed teacher and principal/counselor recommendation forms, standardized test scores and a transcript from their current school. The forms should be given to current school administrators and teachers when you submit your application to SJND. The transcript request form should be given to current school administrators and teacher recommendations can be requested online in the parent portal when you submit your application to SJND. 

Tuition Assistance FACTS Deadline

It is our Catholic mission to make this transformative Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School education available to as many students and families as possible. SJND’s Tuition Assistance Program helps to make an SJND education affordable to many families. Applications and awards are made annually and are determined by reviewing each family’s total resources, coupled with the amount of funds available. All families who would like to be considered for tuition assistance for the next school year must complete and return the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment form. FACTS is an outside agency that SJND uses to process the information provided by families.

Students who submit their application materials by January 19 will be considered in the first pool of applicants. Admissions notifications will be available online the afternoon of March 20, 2020. As a prospective student, you will be assessed on the following:

  • Completed application
  • Academic transcripts and grade reports from the prior two years
  • Completed teacher and principal/counselor recommendation forms
  • Standardized test scores
  • High School Placement Test scores
  • Family admissions interview
