Ken Jennings came to SJND in the 2016-17 school year with nearly fifteen years of leadership experience in Catholic secondary schools. He is a charismatic and strategic leader who has advanced the many institutions served under his direction.
Ken is a lifelong student and teacher in Catholic schools. He holds a B.A. in English Literature from Fordham University, a Masters of Divinity from Seton Hall University, and a Masters in Educational Administration from Caldwell University. He most recently served as the principal of De Paul Catholic High School, where he led the academics, student life and campus ministry programs. Prior to De Paul, Jennings was the principal of Benedictine Academy in Elizabeth, N.J. from 2004 to 2014. There he coordinated two successful re-accreditation visits, working diligently to raise the school’s test scores during a five-year process. He is passionate about being involved in the classroom and has taught College Preparatory English, AP Literature and Composition, and AP Psychology.
Ken says: "I could not find a more welcoming and outstanding Catholic college preparatory high school, and I am both blessed and honored to serve as the principal of Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School. SJND is a very hospitable community, and I am looking forward to working with the entire Pilot community."
