Harold “Hal” Gray ‘68
Harold “Hal” Gray ‘68 was the preeminent two-sport athlete of his era. He earned seven major-sport varsity letters and was one of a pivotal group who contributed to the school’s basketball revival in the late 1960s. Hal played on the 1966 and 1967 varsity basketball teams that challenged for the CAL title. He was captain and All-CAL First Team selection was forward on the 1968 Pilot team which finished 22-8. He earned varsity baseball letters in 1965 through 1968 and was the All-Cal first team pick as catcher in both his junior and senior years. He received the James Moreland Scholar Athlete Award at graduation and was presented with the school’s Most Inspirational Player awards in both basketball and baseball.
