Ellis Cervantes-Moreno ’20 Awarded Full, Four-Year National Scholarship

Congratulations to senior Ellis Cervantes-Moreno who has been awarded a full, four-year college scholarship through the 2019 QuestBridge National College Match. Ellis is one of 1,127 Match Scholarship recipients, selected from nearly 6,000 finalists nationwide. He will attend Amherst College in the fall.

QuestBridge National College Match is a national program that connects high-achieving, low-income high school seniors with full four-year scholarships to the nation’s top colleges. Match Scholarship Recipients are admitted early to QuestBridge college partners with full four-year scholarships that are provided by the colleges and universities, ensuring for these students and their families that an education at a top college can be affordable.

At SJND, Ellis is a member of the Biomedical Sciences Program, Ambassador Leadership Team, Cross Country and Track and Field programs, and an officer of the Latinos Unidos club. He is also a part of the California Scholarship Federation, Bay Scholars and Achieve Program.

Having completed an internship at Fortress Investment Group, Ellis’ interests include business, as well as the sciences. He looks forward to exploring his many interests at Amherst College next fall.
