Student Art Show at the Blue Dot Café
Need more art in your life? SJND is proud to announce our second annual advanced Student Art Show at the Blue Dot Café in Alameda.
Fourteen Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School students have submitted art for an exhibit in a juried show that will be on display from March 2 through April 15 at the Blue Dot Café on Encinal Avenue, a block from SJND. The student artists are in advanced art classes at the high school, including AP Studio Art. The show includes drawings, photographs, paintings and prints.
"This is our third annual Exhibition at the Blue Dot Café and the student art work has been so well received that Megan and Greg Hume(café owners) invited us back and asked us to extend the show for an additional two weeks. Both the staff and patrons have enjoyed the student art work so much that it has become a highlight exhibit of the spring," said faculty member Mark Ritter, chair of the visual and performing arts department at SJND.
A reception will be held in the artists' honor on April 2 at 6:30 p.m. at the Blue Dot Café.
