Zavier Annis '20 Named Finalist in National Merit Scholarship Program
A few months ago we shared that Zavier Annis ’20 was selected as a semifinalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program. We are pleased to share that Zavier is one of just 15,000 high school seniors nationwide who has been named a finalist in the program, and will therefore be considered for National Merit Scholarships to be offered in 2020. Zavier achieved a perfect score of 1520 on the PSAT/NMSQT exam in 2018, placing him in the top 1 percent of junior PSAT test takers across the nation.
Each year, over 1.6 million students take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Of the 50,000 highest scorers, on average, 34,000 receive commendation for their performance and another 16,000 students move on as Semifinalists in the competition.
