Student Life Fundraiser

Our annual Student Life Fundraiser has officially begun! This year we will be hosting a community-wide raffle. All students were given a packet of 10 raffle tickets. Each family is asked to sell at least ten $10.00 raffle tickets to friends, coworkers, and family. Additional tickets may be picked up from Mrs. Stein. Please return the envelope before September 23 (feel free to return in batches) with the filled out raffle ticket and payment (cash or check written out to SJND). The raffle will be held at lunch on September 27. Winners need not be present to win.

Five individuals will win $100.00
Two individuals will win $250.00
Two individuals will win $500.00
One individual will win $1,000.00

Outerwear Policy and Pre-Orders 19-20

For the 19-20 academic year, SJND has made a change in the school's Outerwear Dress Policy. The new policy reads:

Sweatshirts and Outerwear: Only school-authorized SJND sweatshirts and outerwear must be worn at all times. This includes:

  • Jackets or sweatshirts purchased from The Runway Store or Dennis Uniform.
  • Outerwear provided by curricular or co-curricular programs such as Athletics and clubs.

We have made this change in the Outerwear Policy for several reasons, but most importantly for safety reasons. As listed in the Handbook general policy on Dress Code, ”to ensure a safe community where all students are easily identifiable.” We take seriously the mandate to easily identify students by their dress.

As a result of this change, we are providing new outerwear options for purchase. Click the link below to view the outerwear options and pre-order items by by completing the pre-order form and returning it to the SJND Main Office.

Daily Schedule

Bell Schedule Experimentation 19-20

During the 2019-2020 school year, SJND will experiment with new bell schedules as part of our current Educational Improvement Plan (or EIP). To learn more about this process and descriptions for the special periods outlined in the experimental schedules, please click "learn more." To view the Experiemental Bell Schedules, please click the link below.

Upon completion of each bell schedule experimentation window, students and Faculty will be given the opportunity to give specific feedback regarding each bell schedule option. This feedback is important to us as we continue to enhance the school’s academic and co-curricular programs.

Parent Involvement

A core component for student success at SJND is a strong partnership between the school and home. The most important support from family is helping with homework and other curricular-related activities, as well as planning, helping with good decision-making and supporting a student's spiritual and moral development.

SJND parents are also asked to volunteer at the school—both to help improve the school and to be role models for the importance of education and service for their children. This page includes tools, information and resources to help parents stay informed and engaged.
