Malou is an adjunct scholar at the Cato Institute. As a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies, her primary research interests are Middle East & Persian Gulf security issues as well as the United States foreign policy towards Pakistan, Afghanistan, and China. Malou has appeared as a guest analyst on networks such CNN, BBC News and the Fox News Channel. In addition, she has published articles and reviews in journals such as Survival, Congressional Quarterly, and Harvard International Review and has written for Foreign Policy and Wall Street Journal Asia just to name a few, on national security and foreign affairs.
