As a freshman, she led ACCAL in batting average (.556), and repeated as a sophomore, with an average of .485. Crystal received many awards while at SJND, including three-time Alameda Contra Costa Athletic League All-Team selection and four-time Scholar Athlete award winner. Her senior year, she also won the Distinguished Athlete award. Crystal earned a Division 1 scholarship to Maryland where she was a two-time All ACC team selection and four-time Intercollegiate Athletics Scholar Athlete.
