Theater | Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School

SJND's Theater Program, led by a veteran of San Francisco's A.C.T. Conservatory, Lauren Rosi, produces three performances annually, including the SJND Spring Musical.

Spring Musical

Each year, dozens of students from each grade level audition and participate in this three-night show at the Malonga Casquelourd Center for the Arts in Oakland, complete with an ensemble band, professional choreography and a student-run backstage crew. Not a seasoned performer? No problem. Students of every skill-level are encrouaged to participate in various capacities.

SJND’s 2019 Spring Musical was Once On This Island. The production involved 43 students, four months of preparations, including over 100 hours spent auditioning, learning, and rehearsing, encompassed six shows in one weekend, and was attended by over 1,000 audience members.

SJND students perform in "Chicago," the 2018 Spring Musical.
